Comprehensive features for 2D drawings

BricsCAD is an affordable alternative to prominent 2D/3D CAD programs like AutoCAD that offers many similar features. Along with the free one-year version for educational facilities and students, the modeling software is also available in three further versions: Classic, Pro and Platinum. These offer different features, with the more expensive modules providing significantly more functionality. 

The Platinum version of BricsCAD stands out from the other modules, for instance, with its Building Information Modeling (BIM) interface, which allows 2D plans, details and cross sections to be synchronized with the 3D model. This substantially reduces the workload as changes can be more quickly implemented and applied to all steps of the planning process. In short: It makes the process much more efficient. 

In order to provide various target groups with additional features, BricsCAD is also used as a fully fledged software development platform. Currently, more than 900 applications are available that are specifically tailored to various industry solutions. 400 of these are only available in Germany – true added value for the users of this CAD program.

The intuitive software can be run on Windows, Linux or Mac OS. Innovative 2D tools provide comprehensive functions for creating and editing models and designs while its rendering engine supplies a realistic depiction of the models. Due to its functionality, BricsCAD is ideal for technical drawings, but it can also be used for 3D projects as well.

Since BricsCAD uses the .DWG and .DFX file formats, compatibility with other renowned CAD programs like AutoCAD is ensured. With the Communicator® add-on, you can easily import and export to additional formats.

Professional CAD work requires high-performance hardware, as detailed designs can only be fluidly displayed on systems with powerful graphics cards and CPUs. We have a simple solution for these requirements: Our high-quality CAD workstations use powerful Intel CPUs and graphics cards from the NVIDIA Quadro series, which were specifically developed for use with graphics-intensive programs. As a result, all requirements for using BricsCAD are fulfilled.
