Everything you need to know about shipping at Thomas-Krenn

INDIVIDUALITY is a top priority at Thomas-Krenn. Therefore, we offer a wide range of choices not only for our products but also regarding shipping and payment methods. On this page, we provide you with the most important information.

Shipping methods

Depending on the product, size and weight of the ordered goods, we have a variety of shipping options to choose from. The shipping costs are calculated based on the weight of the server. We ship up to 30 kilograms by UPS as standard; for quality reasons, sensitive systems such as tower servers are only shipped by a forwarding agent.

Shipping with UPS:

With UPS we have a variety of shipping options available:

  • UPS Standard Europe (EU)/Switzerland (CH): with this shipping method, the goods are delivered on a specified day within the next 5 working days, provided that the goods or customs formalities can be processed promptly.
  • UPS Express D/EU/CH: delivery is made the next day by 10:30 or 12:00 to most business addresses in Europe, provided that the goods or customs formalities can be processed promptly. Prerequisite: we receive the order by 12:00 noon.
  • UPS Express Saturday delivery Germany: the products are not only delivered on weekdays, but also on Saturdays.
  • UPS Express Saver D/EU/CH: Delivery is scheduled for the next working day throughout Europe, provided that the goods or customs formalities can be processed promptly.

Shipping by forwarding agent

We also offer various shipping models for shipping by forwarding agent (from a goods weight of 32 kilograms or particularly sensitive systems):

  • Shipping Europe Germany (D)/Europe (EU)/Switzerland (CH) Standard: The delivery time for Germany is 2 working days, for Europe 3 to 6 working days depending on the country and for Switzerland 2 to 3 working days.
  • Forwarding D Telephone notification: With this shipping method, the supplier will inform you by telephone on the day of delivery when the delivery will take place.
  • Shipping D Express: The goods are delivered within 24 - 48 hours (depending on the zip code), provided that we receive the order by 12:00 noon.

Collection from Thomas-Krenn

You are welcome to collect your ordered goods directly from our premises. We are available from Monday to Thursday from 08:00 to 15:00 and on Fridays from 08:00 to 13:00.

 

 

Customs

We also do what we can to ensure a seamless delivery to non-EU countries. This includes handling customs formalities and export documentation. We can also ship with UPS to non-EU countries. In this case, customs fees are already included in the shipping price (for instance for deliveries to Switzerland or Liechtenstein). 

 

 

Impact of your payment type on shipping

At Thomas-Krenn, you have the choice of several different payment options. This article explains what these are and how they impact shipping.  

Advance payment

After checking your order, we send you an advance payment invoice that doubles as your order confirmation. Upon receiving payment, we will approve your order for production and ship the goods generally within a few days.

Purchase on account

A prerequisite for this payment type is a positive credit assessment, which can take a few days to process. Please note that the credit assessment is valid for one year. Once a positive assessment has been received, your products will be assembled and shipped. Upon receiving the goods, please transfer the invoice amount to one of the specified accounts within the payment period.

Leasing

Following your order and the approval of the leasing company, you will receive the original leasing contract. Once the legally signed contract has been received by us, we approve the order and ship the ordered goods.

If you would like to regularly lease from us, we can arrange all of the formalities in advance. Simply inform us of this desire.

Cash on delivery (COD)

If you select the COD payment option, you will be required to pay the commissioned service provider in cash on delivery. This can result in fees, which vary depending on the service provider. Payment on delivery is only possible up to a certain amount (for instance, UPS allows payment on delivery up to € 2,500).

SEPA Direct Debit Scheme

A prerequisite for this payment method is a positive credit check - this can take a few days. Please note that a credit check is valid for one year. After placing your order, you will receive a SEPA direct debit mandate, which must be signed by both you and your bank and returned to us in the original. Upon receipt of the mandate, your order will be processed and dispatched immediately and the invoice amount will be debited from your account within the agreed payment period.

If you would like to pay by SEPA direct debit in the future, please let us know so that we can make the necessary arrangements.

Payment via PayPal

After placing your order, you will receive an invoice from us with the corresponding link for PayPal payment. As soon as we have received the payment, we will prepare the goods and dispatch them.

With this payment method, we receive the invoice amount as quickly as possible and can start assembling your products immediately.

Cash on collection

With this payment method, you collect your goods from our head office in Freyung and pay in cash. When we hand over the goods, you will also receive your invoice, on which we will issue a receipt for the cash payment.
