Seven options for every requirement

With our Open Storage Systems (OSS), we are pursuing one goal: we want to provide you with a flexible hardware platform that does not restrict you to using a specific storage software from the outset. The development of seven variants gives you the choice: do you value capacity, performance, are you looking for a system for the office or a universally deployable system for your IT infrastructure?

The hardware of the OSS Office includes 4 x hot-swap 3.5" hard disks and 2 x 2.5" SATA SSDs in a compact tower housing. The OSS Office is ideal for use in the office thanks to its small design and low noise level. Our 19" entry-level server OSS Basic, on the other hand, is a 2 HU system with a total of 8 x 3.5" hard disks and 2 x 240 GB M.2 NVMe SSDs as well as a SAS-3 backplane, making it the ideal entry-level solution for small and medium-sized companies.

Another variant is available as a 4 U system with a total of 36 x 3.5" OSS Capacity hard disks. This provides you with a maximum of 648 TB (gross) storage for your data and applications, making the hardware ideal for applications such as long-term archiving and backup-to-disk of large volumes of data. The 2U all-flash system OSS Performance Plus brings you maximum performance with 24x 2.5'' slots and around 368 TB of storage in the server room. If you want to use your storage for virtualization or database applications, this variant is the right choice for you.

TrueNAS Community Edition as an open source-based storage manager

We pre-install TrueNAS Community Edition when you purchase your new open storage system. This option is already preselected in the configurator. Our systems have been tailored to the use of open source software, which is why you can rely on full functionality.

The Unified Storage Manager TrueNAS Community Edition offers an independent and flexible alternative to commercial storage applications. Using the storage management solution is particularly worthwhile if you rely on the open source technology OpenZFS and require a powerful, standardized storage platform. The storage resources are easily managed via a web-based interface, which significantly reduces your administration effort.
