Every Thomas-Krenn system only leaves the company after extensive, standardized testing and our production takes place exclusively at our Freyung site in Germany. In addition, our Austrian employees for knowledge transfer are happy to share their in-house know-how with you in our Thomas-Krenn Wiki. In accordance with DIN EN ISO 14001, the highest standards are met in terms of sustainability and ecology, as well as cyber security in accordance with DIN EN ISO 27001. Together with its subsidiary EXTRA Computer GmbH, Thomas-Krenn.AG is one of the largest manufacturers of IT hardware in Germany. Thomas-Krenn also holds a 50 percent stake in the companies Yorizon GmbH & Co KG (sustainably designed and operated data centers) and CoreCooling GmbH (IT cooling solutions).
Our company began with an idea: a simple, uncomplicated online store for individual server systems. When Max Wittenzellner and namesake Thomas Krenn founded the company in 2002, such stores were still the absolute exception. Customers could put together the server they wanted individually from high-quality components and order it with just a few mouse clicks, which ultimately led to the development of our intelligent online configurator. And so it came about that a good idea quickly became something more.
Starting out as a two-man garage business, the then Thomas-Krenn Serverversand GmbH and its workforce grew rapidly. Initially based in the Waldkirchen Innovation and Start-up Center, the company soon needed larger office and production premises. This was followed by brief stopovers in the neighboring Röhrnbach and the Freyung industrial estate with 1250 square meters. At this time, the company was also transformed into Thomas-Krenn.AG. In 2007, the current location in Freyung finally provided enough space to be prepared for future growth. As early as 2012, the company building, which initially measured 2500 square meters, had to be expanded to almost double the size. The success story continued even after the two founders left the company in 2014. In 2017, Thomas-Krenn.AG opened a new branch in Tübingen, which actively supports the sales staff. The number of employees at Thomas-Krenn continues to rise steadily and, thanks to clever forward planning, the Freyung site still offers enough space for future expansions.
At Thomas-Krenn, we are always there for our customers and want to pass on our experience and knowledge to them. In February 2008, we created our own Thomas-Krenn Wiki in an effort to always offer our customers the best possible solution for their needs. Our experts , together with the two Austrian-based Knowledge Transfer employees, address practical issues, help with installation instructions and provide background information on relevant server technologies. Gradually, the Thomas-Krenn knowledge platform developed into a permanent point of contact for technicians in the IT environment - with over 500,000 page views per month.
Today, we are one of the most successful manufacturers of individual server and storage systems on the market. However, we have not forgotten our roots: our headquarters in Germany are still located in Freyung in the Bavarian Forest. This success has been made possible above all by our 130 dedicated and expert employees - many of whom have been with the company since the early years. They form the heart of Thomas-Krenn.AG and with their ideas they continue to help shape the future of the company.

Daniel Graimann
Daniel Graimann has been working as Purchasing Manager since 2023. The business economist (VWA) and B.A. is responsible for purchasing at both Thomas-Krenn.AG and Extra Computer GmbH. Before joining Thomas-Krenn.AG, he worked for many years as Head of Purchasing and Materials Planning at another medium-sized company. As manager of the Purchase department, he ensures that our stocks of goods and components are always sufficiently filled and that we can always offer our customers the best possible price. He enjoys spending his free time in the saddle of his mountain bike.

Nadine Maier
Nadine Maier is a manager at Thomas-Krenn.AG and is currently responsible for the digital transformation of the company. Her tasks include the optimization and automation of processes with the help of new, innovative technologies. Following her training as an IT specialist for system integration, she shaped the development of the hardware manufacturer in Technical Support and as a product tester while also playing a key role in the establishment of the Product Management department at Thomas-Krenn. Born in 1984, she is also responsible for the structure and further development of the product configurators. Outside of work, she devotes much of her time to fast cars and her dog Gaucho.

Guido von Klitzing
Guido von Klitzing began his sales career in the vinyl mail order business. After a variety of well-known professional stations, including IBM and Microsoft, he began his work as manager of the Sales department at Thomas-Krenn in the fall of 2023. Since then, he has been coordinating the efforts of our key account managers and sales consultants in order to consistently provide our customers with a competent contact and customized offers. In his private life, he has a great passion for heavy metal, online gaming and FC Bayern Munich.

Bernhard Seibold
Bernhard Seibold has been with Thomas-Krenn.AG since 2004 – initially in Quality Assurance and later with management positions in Product Management and Systems Engineering. As Manager Systems Engineering and authorized signatory at Thomas-Krenn, he is now in charge of the development of custom specialized solutions. His pragmatic approach allows him to develop optimal solutions that are perfectly tailored to customer requirements. Born in 1979, he is married with two children. In his free time, he loves to explore nature and hike through the Bavarian Forest.

Simon Holzer
Simon Holzer has been Marketing Manager at Thomas-Krenn.AG since 2016 and is responsible for the internal and external communication of all services, added values and products. After completing his studies in media and communications management, he took over the Online Marketing department at Thomas-Krenn.AG in 2014. His tasks include increasing market reach, brand management and brand development, as well as the implementation of creative and innovative concepts. In his spare time, he can often be found at concerts and festivals or enjoying the great outdoors on a hike.

Florian Fritsch
Florian has been with Thomas-Krenn AG since 2005. He started as a support employee and was instrumental in building up various areas - including support, operations and quality management. Today, as Manager Services, he manages all services - both externally for our customers and internally within the company. In this role, he ensures that processes run smoothly, customer concerns are dealt with quickly and internal processes are designed efficiently. In his free time, Florian is a passionate angler and shooter.
