Why is Yorizon so energy efficient?

Thomas-Krenn.AG has already received the "Blue Angel" environmental seal for two servers in 2022 - the first server manufacturer ever to do so. As you can see: Our team knows its way around this profession! The server family for the YEXIO data centers is also correspondingly economical with electricity. Their technology is also designed in such a way that the latest chip technology available on the market can be used - including further reductions in power consumption in the future. Future-proof, sustainable.

But there's more: because waste heat can never be completely avoided in computing, it is only really efficient if this excess heat is used for other purposes. This is precisely the task we gave our engineers for Yorizon. And they have delivered a true masterpiece: Up to 85 percent of the waste heat generated can be utilized.

This extremely high value is achieved through the clever use of so-called hot water cooling. Why water? As a cooling medium, it has significantly better transport properties than air - up to 3,800 times better in fact! Why hot? Because only with hot water is it possible to reuse it sensibly, for example for municipal heating networks. In combination with ideally matched air conditioning, the energy balance is best.

Yorizon also offers a dual-vendor option, so that both enterprise-grade hypervisor and SCS-compatible open source software are available, supporting hybrid cloud, multi-cloud and poly-cloud system architectures.
