Download and installation

TKperf is a tool for testing the speed of hard drives and SSDs developed by Thomas-Krenn.AG. The tool facilitates the comparison of different hard drives and SSDs to each other.

 

Installation

TKperf was optimized for installation on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. Via the Thomas-Krenn Ubuntu repository, you can easily install TKperf via apt package management. Simply execute the following commands on the command line:

Add the Thomas-Krenn apt key

  • wget-O-http://archive.thomas-krenn.com/tk-archive.gpg.pub | sudo apt-key add -
     

Add the Thomas-Krenn repository and install TKperf

  • cd/etc/apt/sources.list.d
  • sudo wget http://archive.thomas-krenn.com/tk-optional.list
  • cd
  • sudo apt-get update
  • sudo apt-get install tkperf
