Select your operating system

Choose between the host operating system Windows Server 2022 and Azure Stack HCI. Windows Server 2022 and Azure Stack HCI differ in the licensing model, but also in terms of supported features. Scope of delivery

  • 2x Intel Xeon Silver 4309Y CPUs (2.80 GHz, 8 cores) (expandable to up to 2x 40 CPU cores)
  • 128 GB (8x 16 GB) ECC Reg DDR4 3200 RAM (expandable to up to 4 TB of RAM)
  • 2x 10 GbE onboard NICs (recommended for MGMT networking)
  • 1x M.2 NVMe SSD as boot device
  • 1x TPM module

Minimum requirement:

Azure Local and Microsoft S2D require a minimum number of data carriers:

  • Hybrid: at least 2x NVMe/SSD & 4x HDD
  • Full flash: at least 4x NVMe/SSD
  • 3-Tier: at least 2x NVMe, 4x SSD, 4x HDD

If too few data carriers are selected, technical functionality is not guaranteed.
