All servers have undergone the complex Azure Stack HCI certification process and even the basic configuration meets the requirements defined by Microsoft for Storage Spaces Direct. Moreover, the hardware is designed for expansion. For instance, you can install fast NVMe memory as the cache, which is important for S2D performance. A wide selection of the latest generation of Intel and AMD CPUs enables high density virtual machines and demanding compute workloads in hyper-convergent setups.
