BIOS update in Thomas-Krenn Management Interface
The BIOS of the server system can be updated via the Thomas-Krenn Management Interface (TKMI). The following article describes the necessary steps.
Preparation
First, download the latest BIOS version for your system. The files can be obtained via two different ways:
Update on server description

Select the server system in the shop for which you want to perform the BIOS update (for example RA2212-TKEPN).

Download the current BIOS-version.
Update on serial number

Select the download area in the Thomas-Krenn shop.

Enter the serial number of your device. Alternatively, you can also enter the description of your system.

Download the latest BIOS-version.
Update
| Hint: Make sure that your host system is connected to a stable power supply.
Under no circumstances disconnect the device from the power supply during the flashing process! |
Log into your TKMI. When you log in for the first time, you may be required to set a new password.
Perform the following steps:

The update option can be found via Maintenance button.

Select BIOS Firmware Update tile.

Click on Select file on the following screen.

Search for the latest BIOS-version on your system and select it.

The file is now displayed as selected. Confirm with Start firmware update.

Verify the version that you want to upload on the system.

Confirm with Proceed.

The host is restarted after the flash process. Confirm with Ok.

In the following, you can observe the progress.

The success of the process is confirmed. The device is then restarted.

In the System Inventory of your TKMI, you can check the success of the update.
Downgrade
If you want to go back to an older BIOS-version, the same steps must be performed. To do this, use a BIOS version that is older than the one currently installed on the system.
