The AMD Opteron 4100 Series processors (code name Lisbon) are designed for use in single and dual socket servers and workstations. For a full overview of the server CPUs from AMD, please see the article AMD Server CPUs at a glance.

Construction

The internal structure of the AMD Opteron 4100 CPUs are the same as the Istanbul CPUs. However, there is another socket (C32) where Direct Connect Architecture 2.0 is used. In addition, the Opteron 4100 family expands virtualization capabilities and improves power management.[1]

  • Up to 3 DIMMs/channel, 6 per CPU
