In December 2023, Supermicro published several BMC Firmware updates for X11, M11, X12, H12, B12, X13, H13, B13 and C9X299 mainboards for fixing security vulnerabilities in the BMC firmware. Thomas-Krenn generally recommends that remote maintenance access such as IMPI/Redfish/BMC or SSH should be operated secured behind Firewalls/VPNs and not to make publicly available on the Internet - view also IPMI Best Practices.
