This article shows how to assign a static IP in TrueNAS Scale. Current information for basic installation of TrueNAS Scale can be found in the article TrueNAS Scale Installation.
Hint: Please note that the old IP address can no longer be used to access the web interface afterwards.
Assign static IP address
-
Click on [Network] in the web navigation, then select the interface you want to edit by [double-clicking] on it.
-
This tab appears. Remove the checkmark at [DHCP] and add your desired IP at [IP-Adresses]. If necessary, you may need to press [Add]. Confirm your entry by clicking on [Apply].
-
To test the configuration, click on [Test Changes].
-
A pop-up should appear. Set the checkmark at [Confirm] and press [Test Changes].
-
Log in to your browser with your new IP address. After this, click on [Save] to complete your configuration.
Your system now has a new IP address, which you can use to connect to the webinterface of your server/your VM.
