Proxmox upload ISO image
To install virtual machines on a Proxmox VE server, the respective ISO images for the desired guest operating system are required. In this article, we will show you how to upload an ISO image directly from the download source onto the Proxmox VE server.
Upload ISO image
In the following example we show the upload of a Debian ISO images to a Promox VE 8.1 server:

Log in to the Proxmox VE web interface and click on the desired storage ("local (pve)" in this example).

Click on ISO Images.

Click on Download from URL.

Clock on Query URL.

Recommendation: Click on Advanced to subsequently verify the checksum.

Select the hash algorithm of the checksum.

Copy&paste the checksum and then click on Download.

The download is in progress.
-
The checksum of the ISO image is calculated.
-
The calculated checksum matches the specified checksum.
-
The ISO image is now ready for further use.
Install VM
With the now uploaded image you can now install a virtual machine, see e.g.
