Thomas Krenn Open Source Sponsorship 2013
After three successful appearances in 2010, 2011 and 2012 the representatives from Thomas Krenn Open Source Sponsorship who support Open Source Projects were back again in 2013. Projects could be submitted until the end of the 2013 Linux Tag, which was again hosted in collaboration with Linuxhotel, NETWAYS and Univention.
Winners
The winners of the 2013 Thomas Krenn Open Source Sponsorship competition were selected by an independent jury of four judges. The winners are:
- Skolelinux (server hardware worth 2.500 Euro)
- CMS Garden (server hardware worth 1.500 Euro)
- Rechenkraft.net (server hardware worth 1.000 Euro)
- BeLUG (Berliner Linux User Group) (server hardware worth 800 Euro)
- Kanotix (server hardware worth 700 Euro)
Jury
The jury was comprised of the following members:
- Peter H. Ganten, Managing Director of Univention GmbH and Chairman of the Board of the Open Source Business Alliance e.V.
- Ingo Wichmann, Managing Director of the Linuxhotel

Author: Werner Fischer Werner Fischer, working in the Knowledge Transfer team at Thomas-Krenn, completed his studies of Computer and Media Security at FH Hagenberg in Austria. He is a regular speaker at many conferences like LinuxTag, OSMC, OSDC, LinuxCon, and author for various IT magazines. In his spare time he enjoys playing the piano and training for a good result at the annual Linz marathon relay.
