Safe Transport

Installing a hard drive in the server chassis.

Hard drives are easily vulnerable to damages from vibration.

Experience shows that hard drives that are pre-installed in the server chasis are often damaged during delivery. Thomas Krenn.AG wants to avoid this problem and therefore ships the hard drives in a well padded package. This package was developed specifically for the shipping of hard drives:

Installing a Hard Drives in the Chassis

The hard drives are already mounted in the bay.

The bays are numbered starting with either 0 or 1, according to the controller.

Instructions how to install the hard drive into the chassis are located on the server.

The hard disk will be detected by the controller on the next startup.
