Preparing the IW-PL052 for rack mounting

This article explains the conversion of a server tower for the IW-PL052.TK server chassis for the installation in a rack with the help of a conversion kit. In the following steps, it is explained how to perform the rack montage.

Step 1: Remove cap

Loosen the two screws on the cover. Then slide the cover back and remove it.

Step 2: Remove feet

Each stand is attached with only one screw. Loosen these screws and remove the stands.

Step 3: Assemble rackmount ears

Now attach the rack mount ears as shown in the pictures. They are attached at two screw points.

Step 4: Install rails

Rails on the server

The rails are secured to the server by screwing them in place at three points. Be sure to use the points marked in the pictures.

Locking screw

Important: The screw shown in the picture serves as a safety device and must also be installed.

Step 5: Install server in rack

First, secure the rails in the rack and extend them fully. Then carefully slide the server into the rails.

The rails are now installed and the server is securely mounted in the rack.
