This article describes the preparation of a Server Tower SR108 for the rack montage. It is explained how rack mounting is carried out with the aid of a conversion kit.

Step 1: Disassemble front blends

The removal of the front blends is done by unlocking the safety hook on the cover directly (marked in the picture). By carefully pulling on the left and right sides, the front panel can now be easily removed.

Step 2: Open chassis

Now, the upper part of the chassis must be taken off by removing the marked screw in the picture. Open the screw, remove it and pull the top of the chassis forward.

Step 3: Remove feet

In the next step, the feet below must be removed. For this, remove the four screws and put the feet on the side.

Step 4: Attach front handles

Now, both handles can be fixed as shown on the pictures.

Step 5: Attach mounting rails

Rail on server

As soon as the handles are attached, the rails can also be attached as shown in the pictures.

! Attention! Only the inner part of the rail is required to attach the rails to the server. The following article explains which part of the rail is required and how the rails are installed in the rack: Montage der Rackschienen eines SR108 Server Tower

Which screws?

Please use the screws shown here for the montage of the racks on the server:

Safety lever

When inserting the server into the rack, the locking lever must be pressed when sliding the rails together so that the rail can lock completely into place.
