Install Ubuntu 24.04 LTS Server
In this article we show the installation of Ubuntu 24.04 LTS Server on a LES plus v3.
Download
The download of the current server version is available under the following link:
- Download Ubuntu Server (www.ubuntu.com)
Installation
To install, transfer the installation ISO to a boot medium (e.g. USB stick or via remote KVM):

Boot from the installation medium in UEFI mode.

Select Try or Install Ubuntu Server.

Select the desired language (we choose English in this example).

Select the desired keyboard layout.

Select Ubuntu Server.

Configure the network. If you are not using all network interfaces, deactivate them (see Job systemd-networkd-wait-online.service start running).

If required, configure a proxy.

Confirm the proposed mirror.

Select the desired target drive for the installation.

Confirm the configuration.

Confirm the configuration again.

Select host name, user name and password.
-
Select Skip for now to skip Ubuntu Pro.

Activate the option to install the SSH server in order to have SSH access later.

If desired, select Snaps.

The installation is complete, select Reboot now.

If several network ports are available but not all are connected, there may be a 2-minute wait.
-
The system has now been completely started.
Network configuration
On systems with multiple network interfaces, there may be a 2-minute wait during the boot process after installation if other devices are not connected to all network interfaces.
