At Thomas-Krenn, you have the choice of several different payment options. This article explains what these are and how they impact shipping.
_ Advance payment
After checking your order, we send you an advance payment invoice that doubles as your order confirmation. Upon receiving payment, we will approve your order for production and ship the goods generally within a single day.
Our recommendation: If you need your goods as soon as possible, we recommend payment via COD or PayPal.
_ Cash on delivery (COD)
If you select the COD payment option, you will be required to pay the commissioned service provider in cash on delivery. This can result in fees, which vary depending on the service provider. Payment on delivery is only possible up to a certain amount (for instance UPS: payment on delivery up to € 2,500 gross).
Our recommendation: This payment type is recommended when you need your goods as quickly as possible.
_ Purchase on account
A prerequisite for this payment type is a positive credit assessment, which can take a few days to process. Please note that the credit assessment is valid for one year. Once a positive credit assessment has been received, your products will be assembled and shipped. Upon receiving the goods, please transfer the invoice amount to the specified account within the payment period.
Our recommendation: If you want to receive your goods as quickly as possible, we recommend paying via PayPal or COD.
Upon completing your order, you will receive the original lease contract with acceptance confirmation. Once the legally signed contract has been received by us, we approve the order and ship the goods. Upon receipt of the goods, the acceptance confirmation must be sent back to us.
Our recommendation: If you need your goods as soon as possible, we recommend payment via COD or PayPal. If you would like to regularly lease from us, we can arrange all of the formalities in advance. Simply inform us of this desire.
_ SEPA Business to Business Direct Debit Scheme
A prerequisite for this payment type is a positive credit assessment, which can take a few days to process. Please note that the credit assessment is valid for one year. After the order, we will send you a blank mandate that both you and your bank must sign and send back. Once we have received the completed mandate, you order will be processed and shipped. The invoice amount will be debited from your account. This can take a few work days.
Our recommendation: If you need your goods as soon as possible, we recommend PayPal or COD. If you would like to pay via the SEPA Business to Business Direct Debit Scheme in the future, please let us know and we will arrange the necessary formalities.
A fee of 1.5 % of the purchase price will apply for this type of payment. As soon as we have received the payment, your goods will be prepared and shipped. You will receive a PayPal invoice from us, which also acts as your order confirmation.
Our recommendation: If you want to receive your goods as quickly as possible, we recommend this payment method. This method allows us to receive the invoice amount as quick as possible and can therefore immediately begin with assembling your products. Alternatively, you can choose payment via COD.
_ Cash on pick-up
With this payment type, you pick up your goods at our headquarters in Freyung and pay in cash. We will provide a receipt and you immediately receive your goods
If you need your goods as quickly as possible, we recommend paying via PayPal or COD. In both cases, we receive the invoice amount as quick as possible and can therefore more quickly begin processing your products.
On the whole, you can always pay on account at Thomas-Krenn. The only prerequisite is a positive credit assessment. In order to process your order as quickly as possible, we recommend that you inform us if you wish to regularly pay on account. We would then take care of the formalities in advance, which will save time for your next purchase.
Depending on the type, size and weight of the ordered goods, we have a variety of shipping possibilities available. Shipping costs are calculated based on weight. We use UPS to ship our products for shipments up to 30 kg. For quality reasons, sensitive systems (like tower servers) are sometimes shipped via forwarding agencies.
_ Shipping with UPS:
With UPS, we have a range of shipping options available:
- UPS Standard Germany (DE)/Europe (EU)/Switzerland (CH): With this shipping option, the goods are delivered on a specified day within the next five business days.
- UPS Express DE/EU/CH: Delivery occurs on the next day by 10:30 am or 12:00 pm for most business addresses in Europe, so long as we receive the order by 12:00 pm.
- UPS Express Saturday Delivery Germany: Products are not only delivered on business days, but also on Saturday.
- UPS Express Saver DE/EU/CH: Delivery is scheduled for the next business day throughout Europe.
_ Shipping via forwarding agency
Similarly, when shipping with a forwarding agency (for shipping orders of more than 33 kg or particularly sensitive systems), we have various shipping models available:

Deliveries in Germany generally require two business days, while three to six business days are required for Europe, depending on the country, and two to three business days for Switzerland.
_ Pick-ups at Thomas-Krenn
You are more than welcome to pick up your goods directly at our headquarters. We are open from 8 am to 4 pm.
We also do what we can to ensure a seamless delivery to non-EU countries. This includes handling customs formalities and export documentation. We can also ship with UPS to non-EU countries. In this case, customs fees are already included in the shipping price (for instance for deliveries to Switzerland or Liechtenstein).
