Azure Stack HCI

Software-defined storage for Windows Server and Azure Stack HCI OS

With Azure Stack HCI, which is based on Storage Spaces Direct (S2D), Microsoft Windows Server and the Azure Stack HCI OS has a powerful "built-in" solution for software-defined storage. It makes additional storage arrays and complex third-party software superfluous, uses affordable standard server hardware and saves on administration costs. At Thomas-Krenn, you will find certified and validated rack servers as well as certified Azure Stack HCI micro-cluster systems for use with Azure Stack HCI.

SDS and hyper-convergence with Windows

Storage Spaces Direct (or S2D) is a feature of the Datacenter Editions of Windows Server and Azure Stack HCI OS. It makes software-defined storage possible in Windows environments without the need for additional components from third parties.

Storage Spaces Direct combines local drives from multiple servers into a virtual, shared storage space. Together with Hyper-V, hyper-convergent systems can be realized using nothing but the tools included with Windows or even dedicated software-defined storage solutions can be created in this way.

With optimally tuned hardware, Azure Stack HCI achieves excellent performance and scales effortlessly into the petabyte range. Powerful, highly available clusters can be established from just two nodes. Thomas-Krenn offers numerous certified server systems for Azure Stack HCI with the compact Azure Stack HCI micro-cluster systems and the high-quality rack servers of the Azure Stack HCI rack series.

Azure Stack HCI micro-cluster for the office

Top performance and high availability in a compact format – these are the standout features of the Azure Stack HCI micro-clusters from Thomas-Krenn. The fail-safe systems consisting of two highly available nodes (expandable up to 16) offer the fastest way to deploy Azure Stack HCI; as tower systems, they are perfect for any office. Moreover, the micro-cluster systems, which can be configured with AMD or Intel CPUs, are also available in a 1U rack server variant. Guarantee the security of your data and consolidate your servers in the smallest possible space with the S2D micro-cluster.

Maximum flexibility with rack servers for Azure Stack HCI

Do you want scalable, future-proof storage systems based on standard components? With the Azure Stack HCI series rack servers, your wish is our command. Equipped with the latest generation of Intel or AMD CPUs, plenty of room for fast storage media such as NVMe SSDs and network technology ranging up to 100GbE, the systems fully exploit the potential of Windows Server and Azure Stack HCI OS via Storage Spaces Direct. With extensive testing and optimization, our technicians have ensured that all components work together perfectly and that our systems are certified for Azure Stack HCI. With us, you’ll find the Azure Stack HCI servers that not only meet your current demands but are also prepared for the challenges of tomorrow.
