Increases the functionality of your monitoring service (Icinga 1 and 2, Nagios)
Hardware failures have a way of appearing at exactly those moments when you least expect it. The times where a defective fan or PSU remained undiscovered and potentially resulted in a total system failure should be a thing of the past. This is precisely why we developed the Call Home service.
In the case of a hardware issue, your monitoring system (Icinga 1 or 2 and Nagios) will send an automatic message to the support team at Thomas-Krenn. We also value data economy, which is why only the most important system-relevant information is transmitted to our technicians who provide quick and targeted assistance.
Our Call-Home service is open source software as are our monitoring plugins. Transmissions are encrypted via GPG. The exact functionality of this process and a detailed Privacy Policy can be found in the Thomas-Krenn wiki. This means you can be sure that we have not kept a backdoor open.
The Call Home service is included in the Exclusive and Enterprise service packages. You can use this service with Icinga 1 and 2 as well as Nagios.
Instructions on how to use the service with a pure Icinga, Icinga 2 or Nagios installation are available in our Thomas-Krenn wiki. There you will find a detailed step-by-step guide on configuring the service with Icinga, Nagios or Icinga 2.
