Determine your personal energy consumption

Due to the rising cost of energy, consumption and exhaust heat are becoming increasingly more important selection criterion. Intel has this in mind when designing the modular server. Even at full expansion ranging up to four power supplies to ensure a redundancy of 3 +1 power for all components making up six servers including a redundant network and storage infrastructure. A conventional redundant configuration would, even when using iSCSI, require at least twelve power supplies for servers, four power supplies for redundant supply of two network switches and two power supplies for storage. Intel has its own "power budget tool" for the modular server. This allows the necessary number of power supplies, whether (two to four), to be determied for a specific configuration. The tool calculates both the power consumption in watts and exhaust heat into BTU / hour.
