Viele Standardrechner k\u00f6nnen dies jedoch nicht leisten. Die Frage ist f\u00fcr viele IT-Verantwortliche, wie sie die zus\u00e4tzliche Leistung bereitstellen. Wir geben mit diesem Beitrag einen \u00dcberblick.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"border: solid 1px #ffffff; background-color: #eeeeee; border-radius: 8px; padding: 10px;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Inhalt:<\/strong><\/span>\n<p> <\/p>\n\n<ul><li><strong><a href=\"#MachineKI\">Machine Learning, KI &#038; Augmented Reality<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"#NeuronaleNetzwerke\">Neuronale Netzwerke<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"#Taktrate\">Recheneinheiten &#038; Taktrate<\/a><\/strong><\/li><\/ul><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Ein Grafikprozessor (<strong>Graphics Processing Unit<\/strong>, GPU) ist ein spezieller Chip, der vor allem <strong>f\u00fcr die Bildwiedergabe entwickelt<\/strong> wurde. Lange Zeit belie\u00df man diese Aufgabe beim Hauptprozessor (Central Processing Unit, CPU). Als jedoch grafikintensivere Anwendungen wie AutoCAD hinzukamen, stie\u00dfen diese Prozessoren regelm\u00e4\u00dfig an ihre Grenzen. Denn die Anforderungen solcher Applikationen, die eine hohe Rechenleistung erfordern, \u00fcberlasteten die CPU. Die Folge: Die Perfomance des Hauptprozessors und damit des gesamten Rechners lie\u00df nach. Um diesen <strong>Leistungsverlust zu vermeiden<\/strong>, wurden die GPUs erfunden. Sie \u00fcbernahmen fortan diese und andere Aufgaben \u2013 wie die computergest\u00fctzte Produktion (Computer Aided Manufacturing, CAM), grafische Benutzeroberfl\u00e4chen sowie Computerspiele und Video-Anwendungen \u2013 und machten so <strong>Kapazit\u00e4ten f\u00fcr andere Prozesse frei<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"MachineKI\"><strong>GPU-Anwendungen sind mehr als klassische Grafik: Machine Learning, KI, Augmented Reality<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Wie alle anderen Hardwarekomponenten haben auch moderne Grafikprozessoren enorm an Leistung zugelegt: Die meisten<strong> CPUs haben heute zwischen vier und acht Kerne<\/strong>. Diese k\u00f6nnen mittlerweile virtuell unterteilt werden, dass ein einzelner Kern <strong>zwei Aufgaben parallel <\/strong>verarbeiten kann. <strong>GPUs k\u00f6nnen jedoch vier bis zehn solcher Prozesse abwickeln \u2013 pro Kern<\/strong>. So k\u00f6nnen sie mittlerweile spezielle Aufgaben \u00fcbernehmen, die \u00fcber Video- und klassische Bildbearbeitung hinausgehen, etwa f\u00fcr k\u00fcnstliche Intelligenz, maschinelles Lernen oder Augmented Reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mehr Infos zu KI &amp; Machine Learning im Webinar:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"video-container\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Effizienter Einsatz von k\u00fcnstlicher Intelligenz &amp; Machine Learning\" width=\"820\" height=\"461\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/jg3YdTsjw-o?feature=oembed&#038;wmode=opaque\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Die Praxis zeigt jedoch, dass diese integrierten GPUs immer noch nicht an die Leistung der meisten externen Grafikkarten heranreichen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Denn mittlerweile m\u00fcssen sie genug Rechenpower liefern, um beispielsweise neuronale Netze f\u00fcr <strong>Anwendungen in der k\u00fcnstlichen Intelligenz<\/strong> zu \u201etrainieren\u201c. Dabei versucht man, die Funktionsweise des menschlichen Gehirns zu imitieren. Ein k\u00fcnstliches neuronales Netz besteht aus einem <strong>abstrahierten Modell miteinander verbundener Neuronen<\/strong>, durch deren spezielle Anordnung und Verkn\u00fcpfung sich Anwendungsprobleme aus verschiedenen Bereichen wie der Statistik, der Technik oder der Wirtschaftswissenschaften computerbasiert l\u00f6sen lassen. Um diese Transferleistung eigenst\u00e4ndig erbringen zu k\u00f6nnen, m\u00fcssen solche Netze gewisserma\u00dfen angelernt werden, was wiederum eine <strong>enorme Rechenleistung<\/strong> erfordert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"NeuronaleNetzwerke\"><strong>GPU-Anwendung in der Praxis: Neuronale Netzwerke f\u00fcr die Sprach- oder Bilderkennung<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Neuronale Netze sind weit mehr als Forschungsprojekte ambitionierter Wissenschaftler. Sie kommen bereits in vielen Bereichen zum Einsatz, insbesondere dann, wenn eine <strong>gro\u00dfe Menge teils unpr\u00e4ziser Informationen<\/strong> aus unterschiedlichen Quellen <strong>zu einem m\u00f6glichst konkreten Ergebnis verarbeitet<\/strong> werden muss. Anwendungsf\u00e4lle sind beispielsweise:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Sprach- oder Bilderkennung<\/li><li>Simulationen und Prognosen, z.B. die Wettervorhersage<\/li><li>medizinische Diagnostik<\/li><li>Fr\u00fchwarnsysteme, die bestimmte Entwicklungen vorhersagen k\u00f6nnen<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide is-stacked-on-mobile is-image-fill\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\" style=\"background-image:url(https:\/\/www.thomas-krenn.com\/de\/tkmag\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/ebook_GPU_Computing-1024x375.jpg);background-position:50% 50%\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thomas-krenn.com\/de\/tkmag\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/ebook_GPU_Computing-1024x375.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15686\"\/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">Kostenloses E-Book: <br>GPU-Computing<br><br><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thomas-krenn.com\/de\/tkmag\/expertentipps\/windows-server-2022-was-sie-vor-der-migration-wissen-sollten\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Jetzt PDF anfordern<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Taktrate\"><strong>Recheneinheiten und Taktrate bestimmen \u00fcber das Tempo der GPU-Anwendung<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Damit IT-Verantwortliche f\u00fcr ihre Anwendung die passende Grafikkomponente finden, haben wir eine kleine <strong>Checkliste <\/strong>zusammengestellt:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Die Leistung der Grafikkarte h\u00e4ngt wie bei jedem anderen Prozessor von der Taktrate und den Recheneinheiten ab.<\/li><li>Art des Speichers: In den meisten Grafikkarten werden DDR5-, bei h\u00f6herklassigen DDR6-Speichereinheiten (Dual Data Rate) verbaut.<\/li><li>Auch das Storage-Modul verf\u00fcgt \u00fcber eine eigene Taktrate.<\/li><li>Der VRAM einer Grafikkarte \u00fcbernimmt, wie der RAM eines Prozessors, Zwischenspeicherungen, die vor allem bei der Videobearbeitung und bei modernen Games den Unterschied ausmachen k\u00f6nnen.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In den <strong>Standard-Grafikkarten<\/strong> werden in der Regel <strong>acht bis zw\u00f6lf Gigabyte<\/strong> verbaut \u2013 Grenze nach oben (fast) offen. Profi-Gamer greifen auf Modelle mit maximalem Videospeicher zur\u00fcck. Aber es kommt neben der reinen Rechen-Power auch auf die <strong>Recheneinheiten und die Taktrate<\/strong> an. Dabei muss \u201emehr\u201c nicht zwangsl\u00e4ufig besser sein, die beiden <strong>Elemente k\u00f6nnen sich gegenseitig kompensieren<\/strong>. Grafikkarten aus dem obersten (Preis-)Segment besitzen zwischen 2.500 und 4.500 Recheneinheiten. Die Taktrate im Premium-Bereich liegt hingegen zwischen 1.200 und 1.800 Megahertz. Eine niedrige Taktrate weist also nicht zwangsl\u00e4ufig auf eine langsame Grafikkarte hin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die beiden Marktf\u00fchrer in diesem Segment sind AMD und NVIDIA, teilweise auch in Partnerschaften mit Hardwareherstellern wie Asus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die derzeit wohl <strong>leistungsf\u00e4higste Grafikkarte<\/strong> ist die <strong>Geforce RTX 3080 Ti von NVIDIA<\/strong>. Sie erm\u00f6glicht eine 4K-Aufl\u00f6sung mit bis zu 60 Frames pro Sekunde \u2013 die Kosten daf\u00fcr liegen allerdings bei mehr als 2000 Euro, je nach H\u00e4ndler sogar deutlich dar\u00fcber. Da stellt sich f\u00fcr jeden Eink\u00e4ufer die Frage, ob hier der Preis und die ben\u00f6tigte Leistung in einem angemessenen Verh\u00e4ltnis stehen. Grafikkarten, die eine Full-HD-Aufl\u00f6sung (1920 x 1080 Pixel, zum Vergleich: 4K genau doppelt so viel) abbilden, gibt es bereits im Bereich von 300 bis 500 Euro. Die <strong>mittlere Leistungsklasse <\/strong>WQHD (Wide Quad High Definition) liegt <strong>bei rund 700 Euro<\/strong>.
