Das bringt Platz f\u00fcr zus\u00e4tzliche CPU Kerne: statt bislang 18 Cores sind nun bis zu 22 Cores m\u00f6glich. Wie sein Vorg\u00e4nger Haswell-EP arbeitet der Broadwell-EP im LGA2011 Sockel. Die Mainboards bleiben also gleich \u2013 sie werden mit einem BIOS Update f\u00fcr die neue Generation fit gemacht.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Drei Chip-Ausf\u00fchrungen f\u00fcr unterschiedliche Anforderungen<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Neben den bereits erw\u00e4hnten Neuerungen haben die Intel Ingenieure auch an der Architektur geschraubt: Vektormultiplikationen laufen nun schneller, da manche Befehle nun mit einer statt bislang zwei Mikrooperationen auskommen. Krypto-Algorithmen werden damit um bis zu 70 Prozent flotter. Auch bei den Advanced Vector Extensions (AVX) bringen die neuen CPUs sp\u00fcrbare Vorteile: hier muss beim gelegentlichen Einsatz von AVX Befehlen nur mehr die Taktfrequenz des betroffenen CPU Kerns gedrosselt werden.
