The array is immediately available for further use. There are only written meta data on the involved disks of the array, whereas the build processor is omitted. The speed of the logical drive is impaired as long es it is in the Quick Init Modus and until a "Verify with Fix" from the Adaptec Storage Manager Software has been implemented.
At the 3Ware Controller, bzw. the Onboard-Controllers are no furhter steps necessary. These controllers build the raid automaticaly in the background when the server is switched on again.
Becaus this is the quickest way to make a raid, an express delivery of the server is possible.
