Battery Backup Unit for your data securityVorteile einer BBU
Eine BBU (Battery Backup Unit) stellt sicher, dass noch nicht geschriebene Daten, die sich aber im Controller Cache befinden, bis zu 72 Stunden nach einem Stromausfall noch vorhanden sind. Durch das Aufrechterhalten der Spannung am Cache können die Daten nach dem Neustarten des Servers noch auf das Volume geschrieben werden und die Konsistenz der Daten ist wieder hergestellt.
Bei aktiviertem Schreib-Cache (höhere Performance) sollten Sie - aus Gründen der Datensicherheit - immer eine BBU verwenden. Backup

Zu Testzwecken werden alle Thomas-Krenn Server mit dem eigens zusammengestellten TK-Kernel in Verbindung mit Debian installiert.
Folgende Punkte gibt es dabei zu beachten
- Das Debian wird ohne grafische Oberfläche installiert
- In der Sources.list sind Thomas Krenn Quellen angegeben, mit denen auch in Zukunft direkt Kernel-Updates gemacht werden können und weitere Pakete zu finden sind, die in den offiziellen Debian-Quellen nicht enthalten sind
Die Partitionierung erfolgt dabei folgendermaßen:
- 5GB Root-Partition
- der restliche Festplattenspeicher bleibt unangetastet
Selbstverständlich erstellen wir auch die Partition nach Ihren Wünschen! Bitte teilen Sie deshalb Ihrem Vertriebansprechpartner direkt diese mit!
