Shared Firewall

If you do not want your hosted servers to be exposed to offenses of unauthorized, then make use of our „shared Firewall“ solution.

Just transmit us the corresponding sets of rules via e-mail or telephone and we will immediately see about the entry procedure. In doing so, you are e.g. able to limit the access on your hosted servers on a certain IP-address resp. a certain IP-address area. Also a restriction of the access on port basis is possible. So you are e.g. able to approve only the ports for HTTP (Port 80) and HTTPS (Port 443) for your web applications globally. Then you can restrict additional ports (e.g. port 22 for SSH) on certain source-IPs and let all others drop.

Our shared Firewall consists of one Cluster with two knots and is, for this reason, high available. Should, for any reason, a hardware failure appear on one knot, an automated switch-over to the other knot will proceed. There all services will immediately be restarted.

Dedicated firewall

Of course you are also able to lease one of our firewalls-servers completely for your projects. In this case, our reliable hardware comes into operation with the repeatedly awarded Astaro Security Gateway Software. The firewall management can be easily performed over a web browser. Of course this system is also available as high-available variant.
