An individual high-end storage with no contract!

For an increasing number of applications a central storage is essential. With the performance of this key component the majority of projects stand and fall. A separate storage system is, in most cases, expensive, especially if it is to stand up to the high performance requirements and even then scalability is still an issue. It is for this reason that we have developed the Thomas Krenn Virtual Cluster Storage (VCS). With us you can book and pay for only the portion of a NetApp storage system that you really need!

HOW VCS WORKS:

Through the technology provided by the NetApp cluster mode, you can provide your own individual NetApp virtual instances in a NetApp cluster. The underlying hardware consists of high-performance NetApp machines, all with SAS drives and the Flash Cache feature.

This will benefit every NetApp virtual instance (vserver). Your vserver can have availability with as little as 1GB. On NetApp features such as snapshots and deduplication naturally you have direct access. Available protocols are NFS and iSCSI. When linking, you can choose between 1 and 10 Gbit/s. An extension of your vservers are in operation without interruption. Also, maintenance or replacement of the hardware on the NetApp system are an issue, because the virtualization technology from NetApp, your instance can be moved to other nodes during normal operation. Thus your main storage is "Always on".

THE BENEFITS AT A GLANCE:

- Available and scalable starting at 1GB at anytime
- Connection with 1 and 10Gbit/s
- Highest performance by using SAS HDDs and Flash Cache
- No downtime during maintenance windows
- Optimal integration in VMware (VAAI)
- NFS, ISCSI
- "Always on"- architecture
