  • Graphics chip: Matrox G200eW

Hardware Revisions

  • Version 2.01
  • The BIOS must not be flashed back to a version 1.x.
  • An internal RDX SATA drive cannot be used with this mainboard revision, as the RDX drive is only compatible with BIOS versions 1.x. The drive can only be used, when the onboard SATA ports are configured to AHCI mode. A usage of the onboard SATA raid is then not possible.
  • Version 2.00
  • The placement of the CPU sockets has been switched. CPU socket #1 is now located at the back side, CPU socket #2 at the front side.
  • Version 1.02

BIOS Versions

Recommendation: After a BIOS update load the default settings of the BIOS, and adjust the configuration as suggested below at BIOS Configuration.

  • Version 2.0b
    • Signed off for general usage by our QA department: 10.10.2011.
    • The Adaptec onboard RAID controller can now be used, when a SATA CD/DVD drive is connected (see issues of BIOS version 2.0a).
  • Version 2.0a
    • Signed off for general usage by our QA department: 05.10.2010.
    • When a SATA CD/DVD drive is connected to the motherboard, the onboard Adaptec SATA Raid controller cannot be used. The system freezes after pressing "CTRL+A" to enter the RAID Controller BIOS.
    • This BIOS version is incompatible with Tandberg RDX SATA drives. Those drives cannot be used with this BIOS version.
  • Version 2.0
    • Signed off for general usage by our QA department: 30.09.2010.
    • This BIOS version is incompatible with Tandberg RDX SATA drives. Those drives cannot be used with this BIOS version.

Warning: X8DT3-F and X8DT3-LN4F motherboards of hardware revision 2.01, which contain already a BIOS version of 2.x must not be flashed with 1.x BIOS versions. In case of such BIOS downgrades, the system will not boot up again.

  • Version 1.1c (not suitable for motherboard revision 2.01 or newer)
    • Signed off for general usage by our QA department: 07.04.2010.
    • Note: Is labeled as Version 1.1b within the BIOS screen.
    • Warning: This BIOS version may only be flashed on boards with hardware revision 2.00 (not on boards with hardware revision 2.01).
    • BIOS with Intel Xeon 5600 "Westmere" support.
    • Necessary when a internal Tandberg RDX SATA drive will be installed.
  • Version 1.1 (not suitable for motherboard revision 2.01 or newer)
    • Signed off for general usage by our QA department: 25.01.2010.
  • Version 1.0c (not suitable for motherboard revision 2.01 or newer)
    • Signed off for general usage by our QA department: 08.07.2009.
  • Version 1.0a (not suitable for motherboard revision 2.01 or newer)

IPMI Versions

  • Version 2.05
    • Signed off for general usage by our QA department: 05.08.2011.
    • During an update of version 2.03 to 2.05, the IP address configurations remains intact even if the option Preserve Configuration (Unchecking this option will restore the factory default settings of BMC) is unchecked. This has the advantage, that there is no need to configure the IPMI IP address again afterwards within the BIOS.
    • The temperature of each DIMM module is displayed in the sensor readings. In our test case we uncheched the checkbox Preserve Configuration (Unchecking this option will restore the factory default settings of BMC) when we upgraded the firmware.
  • Version 2.03
  • Version 1.38
    • Occasionally, chassis intrusion warnings may arise for no reason.
  • Version 1.32
    • corrects wrong thresholds of CPU1 DIMM and CPU2 DIMM
  • Version 1.31
  • Version 1.11
