BIOS Settings
At Thomas Krenn, after loading the default settings the following BIOS configuration adjustments are applied before a server with this motherboard gets its test installation and gets shipped:
Advanced > Boot Feature > Quiet Boot > Disable > PCIe/PCI/PnP Configuration > Onboard LAN1 Option ROM > PXE > Onboard LAN2 Option ROM > PXE
Another option is to SATA Raid Settings depending on the server configuration.
Boot > Boot Options Priority > Floppy > CD/DVD > Festplatte > Netzwerk
IPMI
IPMI Versions
- Version 1.10
- Version release date for quality assurance update on: 7/15/2013.
- The hook should be removed during configuration preserve when updating this firmware - (Unckecking this option will restore the factory default setting of BMC), so you can be sure that all updates are correctly applied and that the sensors are properly displayed. The removal of the hook should set the IPMI modules back to the factory defaults and therefore, the IP address and all settings must be reconfigured either by ipmicfg or another way - see IPMI Configuration for Supermicro Systems
Software Tools
- Intel Rapid Storage Technology Enterprise(RSTe): Enables Administration of an Intel Onboard SATA Raid Controller for Windows.
- Supero Doctor: With this software, the motherboard can be monitored. The available sensors are displayed graphically.
