The FAS2000 series is the latest generation of NetApp's powerful Unified Storages for middle-sized companies. With the FAS series of NetApp you count on scalability, performance and security at the highest level.

Versatile application:
As an Unified Storage the FAS2020 is able to administrate all protocols like CIFS, NFS, iSCSI and FC-SAN in one system. It is not only suitable for Storage- and server consolidations in Windows- and Unix-areas, also for Applikation-Infrastructures in databases, E-Mail/Messaging and ERP-/CRM-applications. Next to Fibrechannel you can use SAS and SATA-HDDs, too. With additional software packs you can develop your system gradually. In the Cluster variant (FAS2020A) you can buy higher availability aditionally.

• Data ONTAP: A operating system to optimize the provision of data and the warranty of a Multiprotocoll-access (SAN, NAS, iSCSI).
• FlexShare™: A effective tool for the control of the working process of Storage-systems with Data ONTAP® 7G. It enables several workloads to host on only one system and assign them priorities.
• DataFabric® Operations Manager: Enables the management of several Storage-systems over only one administration-console. 
• Snapshot: Builds online backups and enables so the access on previous data-versions without time delay and without creation of complete, separat data-copies.

NetApp harmonizes perfect with VMware and Citrix XenServer. With the SnapShot-technology you carry an efficiently backup of your VMs. FlexClone® creates a copy of VM without occupy memory. With Thin-Provisioning the memory is occupied for a VM, which is actually needed.
