Thomas-Krenn.AG is not only interested in supporting open source projects, but also in developing them. That's why we've been working closely with the open source community for many years to provide our customers and any interested administrators with efficient and user-friendly software solutions – including several plugins for monitoring and controlling their server systems.

You can find detailed installation instructions for all plugins in our Thomas-Krenn wiki.
The source code for all plugins can be found in our Github repository.

The best plugins for comprehensive monitoring

Our own developments in this area include the IPMI plugin for the monitoring system Icinga. This plugin can be used to read out and monitor a server system's fan speeds, temperatures, voltages and power supply performance, for instance.

OurGPU plugin is used to monitor NVIDIA GPU hardware. With this plugin, detailed information about the current status of the graphics cards can be retrieved at any time. This allows you to always keep an eye on the temperature, power consumption, ECC errors, fan speed and memory utilization of your cards.

Clamscan evaluates the log files of your anti-virus programs. It provides detailed information about whether Clamscan is running, reports from the last scan and any viruses found.

Dedicated monitoring plugins for RAID controllers and hard drives or SSDs can also be found in our portfolio. In the course of a university of applied sciences student project, we developed plugins for LSI and Adaptec controllers. The plugin SMART Attributes Monitoring allows the monitoring of SMART values for SSDs and hard drives. Precise performance tests, on the other hand, are made possible by our proven analysis tool TKperf.
