Das Tool siga (System Information GAthering) sammelt unter SLES Systeminformationen und legt diese in einer Text- und HTML-Datei ab.

Bei Anfragen an den Thomas Krenn Support ermöglichen diese Informationen eine rasche Analyse. Abhängig von der Supportanfrage fordert Ihr Support-Techniker daher diese Dateien an.

Hinweis: das Tool supportconfig ist der Nachfolger von siga und unterstützt auch SLES9 und SLES10. Supportconfig ist Teil der Supportutils und kann bei OpenSUSE heruntergeladen werden (siehe Systemanalyse mit supportconfig unter SLES).

Distributionen

Folgende Distributionen liefern siga mit:

Bei RHEL/CentOS kann das mitgelieferte Tool sosreport für die Erhebung der Systeminformationen genutzt werden (siehe Systemanalyse mit sos (sosreport) unter RHEL/CentOS).

Beispiel

Ein Report kann einfach durch Aufrufen von siga no erstellt werden (der Paramter no unterbindet dabei das automatische Anzeigen des Reports im Browser):
